Yay, Quidditch!
Oh, this'll be so much fun! I figured I'd just hook up with a few people and listen to the game over the Wireless, y'know, like normal people who aren't rich and don't win silly contests, but wouldn't you know it, my dear old Uncle Yong and Auntie Bao decided they're dragging me down there. Not that I mind, I mean, since I can watch the game and soak up the culture. Probably hunt for native wildlife on off-times or something, y'know? It's funny that he's taking me, though, since it sounds like a lot of people are going unchaperoned. Don't parents care anymore? Or are the kids just leaving those bits out? Anyway, I'll admit I'm a little nervous. I mean, yes, I love watching the games and cheering like mad, but I have notoriously bad luck once I'm actually near the pitch. Anyone remember in third year when the Quaffle went into the stands and I, er, caught it with my face? And we won't even bring up the time a bunch of us played an informal game over the summer and I was referee. But since this is so much bigger, and harder, and faster, and... well, you see where I'm going with this, don't you? And, oh dear, now I feel bad because Quidditch is all anyone's been talking about lately, and I feel like I'm alienating those who aren't interested. I'll put up another unrelated entry soon for you guys, I promise. Anyway, now that I've killed all your brains, I've gotta scuttle off to pack. Anyone, let me know if you'd like to get together before I leave! [And anyone going to the game, let me know if you'd like to meet up there!]
